Session 3: Put Enthusiasm to Work & Recognize Achievements

Put Enthusiasm to Work
Pay attention as you do your job, interface with others, and get the everyday tasks done. Think; if I added 10x more enthusiasm to this activity, how would it affect the quality, how would it affect others, how would it affect my attitude?Dale Carnegie wrote "...genuine, heartfelt enthusiasm is one of the most potent factors of success in almost any undertaking."Pick an activity and be prepared to SHOW us what it looks like now, SHOW us how it would look with 10x more enthusiasm, then TELL us what the benefit would be. Remember the idea starters that we wrote on the flip chart.

Recognize Achievements
Tell us about an achievement that you are proud of. Prepare a two minute talk about the accomplishment. For this talk you will choose one achievement from your adult life. This will be something for which you had to expend considerable, conscious effort. You'll spend the majority of your talk telling us about how you reached the goal. What obstacles did you overcome? What challenges were there along the way? How did it feel to reach your goal? End the talk with "I'm an achiever because...."
